Labor delegation will leave for North Korea to join May Day Festival

Korea's two labor union groups have announced that some 600 workers and union leaders would go to North Korea to participate in the events celebrating Labor Day.
Officials at the Federation of Korean Trade Unions (FKTU) and Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) said Monday... the delegation consists of 241 workers from FKTU, 331 from KCTU and staff officials of the joint May Day events, left Sokcho in the afternoon for Changjon Port, North Korea.
The joint May Day ceremony will be held near the Mt. Kumgang area at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Various other events, including a circus and sports activities, will take place later in the day.
The South's delegation will board a returning ship at Changjon at 2 p.m. Wednesday, after some mountain climbing in the morning.
