The government is planning on setting up by the end of next year a center for training North Korean laborers at the Gaesong Industrial Complex.

The Labor Ministry said Tuesday that it plans to sign a memorandum of understanding with North Korean officials Thursday on the establishment of the training center.

According to the ministry, the training center will be built on a two-point-three hectare plot of land and will be three stories high.

The ministry added that a groundbreaking ceremony for the facility may be held by as early as the end of May.

The center will provide training programs for some four-thousand North Korean workers annually.
