N. Korean Parliament to Hold Assembly

North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly will open the fourth session of its eleventh assembly on April 11th.

The country's Korea Central News Agency on Tuesday also said that delegates' registration will take place on April 9th and 10th.

The assembly's standing committee has not publicized the agenda, but experts predict discussions will focus on the North's nuclear standoff and legislation on reform measures following North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's visit to China in January.

The Supreme People's Assembly convenes irregularly once or twice a year and is generally viewed as a rubber stamp legislature endorsing the policies of the Pyongyang leadership.
