The two Koreas are expected to continue civic exchanges despite the delay in inter-Korean ministerial talks over joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States.

Some 140 young members of inter-Korean Red Cross organizations will take part in a tree-planting event on the North's Mount Geumgang Tuesday through Thursday.

About 200 South Koreans including 12 ruling party lawmakers will visit Tuesday the North Korean border city of Gaesong to attend another tree-planting event to mark Arbor Day.

Some 220 officials from state-run companies in South Korea will do the same Friday.

From Wednesday through Saturday, eight Seoul officials will visit Pyongyang to discuss inter-Korean agricultural cooperation.
