NK Requests Additional Fertilizer Aid

North Korea has asked Seoul to provide 300-thousand tons of additional fertilizer aid.

The Unification Ministry said Monday that the North had requested the delivery of the aid in a Red Cross telegram.

Earlier last month, Seoul sent 150-thousand tons of fertilizer to the North.

A ministry official said that the two Koreas would discuss the issue at the upcoming inter-Korean ministerial meeting in Pyongyang on April 21st.

The official added that the North had expressed its thanks for the earlier aid in the telegram.
