Gov't Seeks to Build Dust Lookouts in N.K.

The nation will set up observatories in Gaesong and Mount Geumgang in North Korea to more accurately predict the density and path of yellow dust.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Friday that it has finished consultations with the Unification Ministry to set up one observatory in the Gaesong Industrial Complex and another near the scenic mountain.

The administration will soon start discussions with the North and build five additional yellow dust lookouts in China by year's end in addition to the five it had built earlier there.
