Inter-Korean Reunions Slated for June, August

The two Koreas will hold a large round of inter-Korean family reunions from June 19th on North Korea's Mount Geumgang.

South Korean Vice Unification Minister Shin Un-sang on Thursday told a news conference that 200 people from each side will take part to mark the sixth anniversary of the 2000 inter-Korean summit.

To mark South Korea's Liberation Day on August 15th, two more video reunions will be held in August with 60 families from each side.

Shin also said the government collected specimens from the mother of South Korean abductee Kim Yong-nam for DNA testing. Kim was allegedly kidnapped by the North in 1978.
