Red Cross to Deliver Medical Aid to N.K.

South Korea’s Red Cross chief will visit North Korea this month to deliver medical supplies to a Red Cross hospital in Pyongyang.

Han Wan-sang will leave May 16th on a five-day trip to deliver two-and-a-half billion won worth of medical supplies and equipment. He will also visit North Korea's largest maternity hospital in Pyongyang.

Also on his itinerary are talks with top officials of the North Korean Red Cross Society and the president of the North's parliament Kim Yong-nam. The two sides will discuss enhancing inter-Korean Red Cross exchanges and cooperation.
