Inter-Korean Talks to Discuss Ex-Pres.'s Visit

The two Koreas will open a working-level meeting on May 16th to discuss former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung's planned visit to North Korea.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said Friday that the North's chief delegate to inter-Korean ministerial talks Kwon Ho-ung proposed to hold the meeting near North Korea's Mount Geumgang.

The ministry said Kwon and the chairman of the North's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, Ri Jong-hyok, will attend.

The two sides are expected to discuss dates, procedures and delegation sizes for Kim's visit after having agreed in ministerial talks last month that he will go to Pyongyang in June.
