Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok says the government has no new major proposal to North Korea.

Asked by the Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency on President Roh Moo-hyun's concession announcement for Pyongyang, Lee said Wednesday, however, that consideration of a major proposal to the North is necessary.

Earlier in the day, Lee told the National Assembly that Roh simply stressed the government's basic principle and that no specific plans yet exist for concessions.

Lee also said Roh through his comments expressed hope that the stalled six-party talks will resume through an inter-Korean summit.
