The Unification Ministry says it has neither held talks nor decided on if former President Kim Dae-jung will visit North Korea next month as a special government envoy.

A ministry official on Thursday said Kim will visit the North as a private citizen with government support under a rule on the honorable treatment of ex-presidents.

The official said discussion on the nature of Kim's visit will come after President Roh Moo-hyun returns from his three-nation trip.
