Delegation Visits NK to Plan Ex-Leader's Visit

A four-member delegation will leave for North Korea Monday to discuss the planned visit to Pyongyang by former president Kim Dae-jung next month.

The delegation, headed by former Unification Minister Jeong Se-hyun, will discuss Kim’s itinerary, the means of transportation and the size of his entourage with Pyongyang officials from Tuesday at the North’s Mount Geumgang.

Meanwhile, the two Koreas will from Tuesday hold general-grade military talks for three days on the southern side of the truce village Panmunjom to discuss military security guarantees for test runs of inter-Korean railways.

The two sides agreed Saturday to begin test runs on May 25th on two sets of railways built across the inter-Korean border. One-hundred officials, guests and reporters will participate in the test runs after three days of joint safety checks.
