Inter-Korean Military Talks Stuck in Stalemate

South and North Korea simply reconfirmed their positions on the second day of their military talks Wednesday in the truce village of Panmunjom.

A South Korean delegate said that the two sides failed to narrow differences on the meeting's agenda.

Seoul proposed discussion of how to prevent maritime clashes in the Yellow Sea, a memorandum of understanding on security for test runs on inter-Korean railway lines and a common fishing zone.

Pyongyang wanted to focus on redefining the inter-Korean maritime border in the Yellow Sea.
