Koreas Agree on Ex-Pres.'s P'yang Visit

The two Koreas have agreed that former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung will visit Pyongyang for four days in late June.

A Unification Ministry official in Seoul said Wednesday that the North agreed to the visit and pledged to give Kim the highest protocol treatment.

Kim's visit will take place in late June, but negotiations will continue on a specific date.

Seoul proposed that Kim go to Pyongyang via train, but the North offered a direct flight.
