N. Korea: Border Realignment to Impact Ties

North Korea says the realignment of the inter-Korean border in the Yellow Sea will impact the future of its relations with South Korea.

Quoting the chief North Korean delegate to the latest round of inter-Korean military talks Kim Yong-chol, the North's official Korea Central Broadcasting Station said Friday that the matter will test Seoul's willingness to ease tension and promote peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The broadcast criticized South Korea for interpreting the 1992 inter-Korean agreement as defining the Northern Limit Line in the Yellow Sea as inviolable waters.

The station also hinted at Pyongyang's reluctance to sign a deal on security guarantees for test runs of inter-Korean railways, saying Seoul brought up irrelevant issues in the latest round of military talks.
