The two Koreas will hold working-level talks next week to discuss North Korean attendance at a South Korean festival marking the sixth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean summit.

A Unification Ministry official in Seoul said Friday that the talks will open Tuesday in the North's border city of Gaesong.

Inter-Korean ministerial talks in April had agreed to send representatives to a grand unification festival on June 15th, the day when the Koreas signed a joint declaration in 2000.

Last year, South and North Korean officials attended the inaugural festival, which was hosted by non-governmental organizations.

Gwangju will host this year's event for three days from June 14th.
