North Korea has not responded to South Korea's offer to hold working-level military talks on details of the planned test-runs of inter-Korean railways scheduled for Thursday.

A Unification Ministry official said Monday that Seoul has yet to receive an answer for its proposal made Friday but denied that Pyongyang's silence will affect the test runs.

He said the ministry will clarify its position Tuesday morning.

In a working-level contact on inter-Korean economic cooperation Friday, North Korea is known to have told South Korea that the test runs will proceed as planned.
