The two Koreas neared an agreement late Monday to allow former President Kim Dae-jung to visit the North for four days from June 27th.

The agreement, however, has yet to be finalized as the sides failed to narrow differences on details such as transportation and the size of Kim's entourage.

Former Unification Minister Jeong Se-hyun, South Korea's chief delegate to the talks on Kim's visit, told reporters that the date of the visit may change depending on the means of travel.

Kim wants to visit the North by a recently reconnected cross-border railway but Pyongyang has consistently rebuffed the idea.

On the size of the entourage, Seoul proposed sending a 90-member delegation.
