The government from June 26th will start selling land around North Korea's Gaesong Industrial Complex.

The Korea Land Corporation in Seoul said Friday that it will hold three rounds of sales for almost two square kilometers of land excluding lots reserved for a model complex and public facilities.

The land to be sold include a factory site covering just over a square kilometer and lots for apartment-type factories and foreign companies.

A corporation official said the planned sale will help South Korean firms seeking to advance into overseas markets set up investment strategies.
