The government has begun preparing for four working-level economic cooperation meetings with North Korea this month and next month, as agreed to during inter-Korean economic talks that ended Tuesday.

The government will draft measures for the June 20th meeting on the continued construction of the Gaesong Industrial Complex. The two Koreas have agreed to discuss the prompt introduction of entry passes, stable supply of North Korean workers and building of an employee lodge at the complex.

At talks a week later on preventing flooding of the Imjin River, South Korea will propose ways to swiftly establish a flood forecasting system ahead of the monsoon season.

Next month, the two sides will hold talks on preventing natural disasters including floods and forest fires and on jointly entering foreign markets in business and resource development.
