Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon says the government and the United States are deeply worried over North Korea's alleged move to conduct a missile test.

In a regular news briefing Wednesday, Ban also said Seoul is trying to figure out Pyongyang's intent in inviting chief U.S. nuclear negotiator Christopher Hill for bilateral talks.

He said related parties are discussing Hill's possible visit to North Korea.
