N.K. Delegation to Arrive in Seoul Next Week

A North Korean delegation is expected to visit Seoul next week to attend a joint celebration of the sixth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean summit.

The Unification Ministry said Monday that it received from Pyongyang a list of 20 delegates to attend the ceremony in Gwangju from June 14-17.

The vice president of North Korea's parliament, Kim Yong-dae, will head the delegation.

Some 150 civic leaders from each side and thousands of South Korean citizens are expected to attend the event, which is being organized by an inter-Korean civic committee on the implementation of the 2000 inter-Korean declaration.
