Ex-Pres. Proposes 2nd Talks with N.K. Leader

Former President Kim Dae-jung has proposed a second meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang to discuss inter-Korean railways and peaceful reunification.

At the opening ceremony of an inter-Korean festival in the South Korean city of Gwangju Wednesday, Kim Dae-jung said he wants to discuss expanding and improving inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation for a successful reunification.

The ex-president is slated to visit Pyongyang on June 27th.

The festival is celebrating the sixth anniversary of the 2000 inter-Korean summit, in which the two Kims held high-level talks in the North Korean capital.

Kim Dae-jung will also host an inaugural meeting of Nobel Peace Prize winners from Thursday.
