North Korea will likely give its final say early this week on a planned visit to Pyongyang by former President Kim Dae-jung.

A source at Kim’s office said Monday that Pyongyang will likely convey its final decision on the matter to Seoul on Monday or Tuesday.

The source said it is difficult to know whether the North’s alleged move to test-fire a missile will affect Kim’s visit, adding that the North must be agonizing over the issue.

The former president made little comment on the North’s latest movements on its missile test.

Meanwhile, Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok on Sunday visited Kim to brief him on pending inter-Korean issues.
