Human beings' dream to stay young and healthy may be realized.

A Seoul National University research team said they found a biological clue that could be used to revitalize aged human cells.

The research team hopes the discovery could lead to prevention of human aging and treatment of geriatric diseases.

Professor Park Sang-chul said a type of protein, called "amphiphsin," which facilitates movement of nutrition in human cells, is noticeably reduced in aged cells. By injecting the protein into old cells, Professor Park said they succeeded in restoring the nutrition intake ability of aged cells... nearly up to that of young cells.
