Seoul to Halt Aid if N.K. Tests Missile

The government will suspend additional economic aid to North Korea if Pyongyang proceeds with a ballistic missile test.

Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok on Wednesday told the National Assembly that a missile test would make the sending of additional economic aid, including rice and fertilizer difficult, but that the inter-Korean industrial complex in North Korea should not be affected.

He said Seoul will definitely take limited but clear action if the test goes through, but warned against a complete halt to inter-Korean exchanges.
