Civic groups are turning up the heat against Japan's distortion of history.

Representatives of the groups gathered at the Headquarters to Correct Japanese History Textbooks in central Seoul Friday and kicked off a worldwide campaign to stop the use of the controversial textbooks.

The groups plan to organize simultaneous protest rallies in front of Japanese Embassies in about one hundred-30 countries next month.
