Creditors of bankrupt Daewoo Motor insist any sale to General Motors must include its largest and oldest production plant. But analysts say this could prompt the world's largest carmaker to lower its offer price.

The Pupyong plant west of Seoul is the largest ... accounting for around half of Daewoo Motor's 15-thousand domestic employees.

Media reports earlier in May said GM was considering taking just one out of four Daewoo plants in Korea ... the one located in Kunsan ... as well as sales arm Daewoo Motor Sales.

The Kunsan plant, which boasts automated production lines, was built in 19-96. The Pupyong plant was built in 19-72.

Daewoo laid off more than 1,700 workers at the Pupyong plant earlier this year to make it more attractive to the U.S. auto giant.
