Abductee to Tell All in News Conference

A South Korean national who was abducted by North Korea in 1978 will speak of his abduction in a news conference Thursday.

Kim Young-nam, kidnapped by North Korean agents at age 17 from a beach in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, held an emotional reunion with his mother and older sister during inter-Korean reunions Wednesday at the North's Mount Geumgang resort.

In the news conference, the 45-year-old Kim is expected to talk about his abduction and the alleged death of his former Japanese wife Megumi Yokota, who was also abducted by the North in 1977.

On the second day of reunions, Kim's family will be allowed more time alone with each other and tour the scenic Samilpo lake before having to bid farewell on Friday.
