Abductee's Family's Visit to P'yang Pushed

An association of families having relatives who were kidnapped by North Korea will request that abductee Kim Young-nam's family in South Korea be allowed to visit Pyongyang in August.

Association president Choi Sung-yong on Friday told the Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency that he will also ask South and North Korean authorities if Kim's wife and children can visit his South Korean hometown of Gunsan on holidays.

In a news conference Thursday, Kim invited his mother and sister to Pyongyang to see a music performance and said he wishes to visit his hometown if he has the opportunity.
