U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Indiana), chairman of the U.S. Senate's Agriculture Committee, will visit
Korea May 29 throughJune 2 to discuss Korean Peninsula issues.
During his visit, the senator will meet with President Kim
Dae-jung, Foreign Minister Han Seung-soo, Defense Minister Kim
Dong-shin and Agriculture and Forestry Minister Han Kap-soo.
Lugar, who also served as chairman of the Senate's foreign
relations committee, has been a vocal supporter of President Kim's
engagement policy toward North Korea.
