Baseball slugger Lee Seung-yeop of the Yomiuri Giants has won the Most Valuable Player award.

The Nippon Professional Baseball organization named Lee as June's best slugger in the central league.

It is Lee's first MVP title since he was recruited to Japan in 2003,

In June alone, the South Korean athlete hit 12 homers, recording a batting average of 0.396 and 18 runs batted in.
