A Chinese news agency reports North Koreans seem unaware of the North’s missile launches on Wednesday.

China's official Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday that the North Korean government and news agencies were silent on the issue and its media outlets for broadcasting overseas were quiet as well.

Xinhua’s correspondent in Pyongyang called the North’s Foreign Ministry to confirm the foreign media’s report on the missile launches, but the only reply was that they did not know.

The North’s state-run Korea Central News Agency had no story on the issue.

North Korean major news dailys Rodong Shinmun and MinjuChosun, Chosun Central Radio and Chosun Central TV also did not cover the missile test.
