Pres. Kim presents five task for competitiveness

President Kim Dae-jung presented five tasks to strengthen industrial competitiveness during a meeting with leaders of local and foreign economic organizations at Chong Wa Dae Wednesday.
The five tasks are a persistent reform in the government, labor, management and finance, nurturing of hi-tech industries like bio- and information technology, the adding of value to traditional main industries, nurturing professionals and a new labor-management environment based on the fair sharing of management outcomes.
Kim said in order to catch up with unlimited competition and prepare for reunification, we should strengthen our power in the industrial sectors.
He also stressed the importance of narrowing gaps between the poor and the rich for the sake of social stability.
