Ahead of the high-demand summer season, the country will reopen two international air routes.

Asiana Airlines said Wednesday it will reopen an air route linking Incheon International Airport and Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The company plans to put in service flight OZ5775 to Kazakhstan every Wednesday. The unprofitable route was suspended in November 1999 nearly two years after its launch in January 1998.

Korean Air (KAL) said it will resume flight KE867 the Seoul-Ulan Bator route twice weekly from June 1st. The flights will depart from Incheon Airport every Monday and Thursday.
