Double track project on Kyongui Line goes into full swing

The Ministry of Construction and Transportation said Saturday... a 40-km double railroad track from Seoul's Kwaja to Munsan, north of Seoul, is expected to go into full swing as traffic evaluation on the line has been concluded.

The ministry's Central Traffic Evaluation Committee approved the double track project call calling for the construction of 17 stations.

The Korea National Railroad, the operator of the project, plans to complete its master plan through consultation with the Seoul metropolitan government before starting the project expected from the latter half of this year.
