NGO Sends Relief Aids to N.Korea

A domestic branch office of the international relief organization Join Together Society has sent relief aids to North Korea.

JTS says that aboard the ship were one-hundred million won worth of food and clothes for North Korean residents in South Pyongan Province which suffered the most damage from torrential rains in July.

The vessel, Trade Fortune, left Incheon Port on Thursday and will arrive at the North’s Nampo Port on Friday.

The organization will send medical supplies, blankets and other necessities via land on route from China’s Dandong through Shinuiju to South Pyongyan Province’s Shinyang and Songchon.

Also, another shipment of one hundred tons of flour will leave for Nampo Port on Wednesday.
