Civic Groups to Send Relief Aid to NK

South Korean civic groups will send relief aid to help North Korea recover from damage brought about by the recent heavy rains.

An organization comprising of 51 civic groups on assistance for North Korea will send 40 tons of flour Wednesday through a vessel traveling between Incheon in South Korea and Nampo Port on the North's west coast.

The Korea Foundation for World Aid also plans to send on Wednesday 15 tons of glucose powder, the first batch of 30 tons.

Meanwhile, the domestic branch office of the international relief organization Join Together Society will send one hundred tons of flour and two thousand pairs of shoes. Another organization Good Neighbors is set to provide some 500-million won worth of clothes and ramen.
