Korea-Russia to cooperate in clamping down on marine pirates

South Korea and Russia agreed to clamp down on all forms of marine criminal violations and pirates in the future.

With the agreement signed in Cheju on Tuesday, the two countries will exchange information and reinforce restrictions on international drug trafficking, illegal entry, and marine pirates and looting at sea.

The two side also agreed to launch a joint drill by dispatching two Korean marine police warships in early September.
