World Chamber Congress meets in Seoul

Business leaders from around the world are meeting in Seoul for a two-day congress.
President Kim Dae-jung was on hand at the opening ceremony of the World Chamber Congress held Thursday at the Convention and Exhibition Center in southeastern Seoul.
More than one thousand delegates from 90 countries are attending the biennial conference which is co-hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Participants are discussing ways to promote international commerce, strengthen cooperation and exchange of information between business communities. Also on the agenda is the construction of a global database linking more than 30 thousand companies.
The database project being pursued by the K-C-C-I is designed to provide I-C-C members with easy access to information to facilitate global trade.
