The Korea Steel Association is preparing to dispatch a mission to the United States in the wake of the U.S. move to impose import restrictions on foreign steel.
Officials said the delegation will visit the United States from June 23rd until the 29th.
The six-member delegation will meet officials of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Commerce Department, and the International Trade Commission and convey the South Korean steel producers' position on the U.S. move.
Meanwhile, a five-member U.S. trade mission will fly into Seoul next Tuesday. They will meet South Korean officials to discuss pending trade issues, including South Korea's steel and auto exports.
