Renowned futurologist Alvin Toffler has suggested South Korea develop its own strategic model for future growth.
Toffler made the suggestion Friday while briefing President Kim Dae-jung on the result of his research on the status of Korea as a knowledge-based society.
Toffler said South Korea has built an information infrastructure that meets world standards and there is no verified model for South Korea to follow in the future.
Toffler was commissioned by the Korea Information Society Development Institute to conduct research for six months starting in December of last year.
The report Toffler presented to the president focuses on the direction of reforms in civil society, education, labor and government sectors and analyzes developments in the regions surrounding Korea.
