The government will inject two-hundred-41 billion won in North Korea flood aid to help mend scars left by torrential rains in July.

Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok reported the plan to the Unification, Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee on Thursday.

Two-hundred-31 billion won will be provided through the National Red Cross and ten billion won through civic organizations.

For the aid, the government will raise one-hundred-55 billion won from a special account budget for grain management and 86-billion won from the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund.

The inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation promotion committee will meet Friday to approve the aid plan.
