IPAAF plenary session to be held in Seoul Tuesday

The International Parliamentarians' Association of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries (IPAAF) will hold its second plenary session here Tuesday for a three-day run with over 80 lawmakers from 27 member countries attending.
IPAAF President Kim Young-jin, a lawmaker from the ruling Millennium Democratic Party, said Saturday the meeting will act as a forum to discuss ways of presenting food importing nations' interests at future agricultural negotiations of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The plenary session will adopt a joint declaration calling for the negotiations to contribute to the agricultural development of WTO countries.
Kim noted that the IPAAF will strengthen cooperation among member countries so that the WTO negotiations can result benefit both importers and exporters of agricultural products.
