The Government Administration and Home Affairs Ministry announced that, on Monday, the government has formally put into operation an Internet knowledge management system.
Taking a year of preparation, the new Internet information system is designed to maximize the work efficiency of the Civil Service by building an information pool about government administration, such as know-how, ideas, reports and cases of trials and errors of individual civil servants.
Since January, it has operated on a trial basis at the Government Administration and Home Affairs and Defense ministries, the National Statistical Office, the Small and Medium Business Administration, the North Kyongsang Provincial Government, Kwachon
City Hall in Kyonggi Province and the Kosong County Office in South Kyongsang Province.
National and local government agencies are required to provide space for this information pool on their Internet homepages but only civil servants will be granted access.
