North Korea is considering construction of expressways and railways along its east and west coasts to attract Chinese investment.

Chinese media said that North Korean officials took part in the Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo in Jilin, China, beginning on Friday.

Pyeongyang’s coastal transportation infrastructure plan is considered to be in line with Beijing’s policy to link its roads and ports to North Korea, including the building of a bridge connecting North Korea and China’s Liaoning Province
