IPAAF plenary session opens in Seoul Tuesday

A plenary session of the International Parliamentarians' Association of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries (IPAAF) kicked off in Seoul Tuesday for a three-day run.
The opening ceremony was held at the Lotte Hotel in central Seoul, attended by 110 legislators and diplomats from 35 different countries.
The IPAAF meeting, the second of its kind, will discuss ways of presenting food importing nations' interests at future agricultural negotiations of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
A joint declaration calling for WTO negotiations to contribute to the agricultural development of member countries will be adopted at the closure of the meeting Thursday.
