Military sources in Beijing said Wednesday, South Korean naval vessels will visit mainland China in late October, for the first time since the two nations opened diplomatic relations in 1992.
The sources said Chinese naval ships will also make a reciprocal visit to South Korea next year.
According to the sources, earlier, the South Korean Navy requested to make a call on Shanghai from October 24th thru 28th.
The sources said the military visit is expected to take place right after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit which will be held in the port city in October.
After their visit to China, the delegation will tour nine other Asian countries, before returning in January.
