Russian diplomats warn North Korea is very likely to conduct an underground nuclear test.

The British daily Telegraph's online edition said North Korean leader Kim Jong-il made clear his nuclear test intentions in recent talks with Russian and Chinese officials stationed in Pyongyang.

The report said Kim threatened to use all necessary means, including boosting the North's nuclear deterrence, change the stance of the United States.

In response, the diplomats warned that a test will likely isolate Pyongyang from its long-term allies Beijing and Moscow, with one Russian official saying he expects serious international sanctions on the North.
