The president of Seoul National University Yi Ki-joon said Wednesday that the university would augment the number of regular foreign professors from the current 3 to 300, which account for 20 percent of the current 1,500 faculty members.

The president said in an interview with a daily newspaper that the government expressed its willingness to supply budget support for the recruitment of the professors with around 50,000 to 60,000 dollars per professor.

The president also said he would change the current exam system so that it may attract many potentially competent students.
